My name is Peggy (Gale) Bennett. I live in Kippens, Newfoundland with my husband. We have two children and four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

I always loved taking photos. I never thought much about them until recently. It all started when I  won a Photography Contest on Here & Now CBC News. Then I decided to enter more contests. I was selected as a Finalist for Photography Laureates and my photo No.2 of "Lion's Head In A Rock" was  in their 2006 Photography Vibes Anthology Book. This photo was chosen for it's structure and composition.

I was also chosen as a semi-finalist in the nature category with The International Open Amateur Contest. My photo No.1 of "Rock Formations" is in their "Endless Journeys" Anthology.

I was contacted by Nightingale Publishers of London,UK to submit a photo for their "Colours of the World:An International Collection of Photography" book which will be published in 2007. I submitted No. 57 "Steel Mountain" to go in.

I am a member of The International Society of Photographers.

I have been nominated for Amateur Photographer Of The Year by The International Library Of Photographers. The convention is in March of 2007 but I was unable to attend.
